Blockchain literacy starts before the boardroom.
Web3 Foundations is our free outreach programme bringing clear, practical blockchain and cryptocurrency education to secondary schools across Nigeria and West Africa. No jargon. No agenda. Just knowledge.
The knowledge gap starts long before someone enters the workforce.
Most blockchain and crypto education in Africa is aimed at developers, investors, or corporate professionals. Almost none of it reaches the 16 year old in a secondary school classroom who will spend their entire career navigating a world where digital assets are as normal as a bank account.
We believe that young Nigerians and Africans deserve to understand this technology before the world asks them to make decisions about it. Not the hype version. Not the get-rich-quick version. The real version, explained in language that makes sense.
Web3 Foundations exists to plant that seed early, freely, and at scale.
90 minutes. One session. A foundation that lasts.
Each Web3 Foundations session is structured to take students from zero to genuinely curious, using real examples drawn from things they already interact with every day.
Money and Why It Matters
We start with what students already know. What is money? Why does it exist? What happens when the systems that manage it fail? A conversation, not a lecture.
Blockchain and Cryptocurrency
What is blockchain? What is cryptocurrency? Critically, what is the difference between them? Explained using mobile money, P2P transfers, and remittances that students already use or have seen.
Africa and the Opportunity
How this technology is already shaping Africa. What problems it is solving. What opportunities exist for young people who understand it early enough to act on it.
Open Q&A
No question is too basic. Students ask anything. We answer honestly, including what we do not yet know. The goal is curiosity, not certainty.
Something real they can save, share, and reference as the first step in their blockchain literacy journey.
Built for two audiences.
Senior Secondary Students
SS1 to SS3 students across Nigeria and West Africa. Old enough to engage meaningfully with financial and technological concepts, young enough that this plants a seed before they choose a career path. No prior knowledge of blockchain or cryptocurrency required. We start from zero and meet students exactly where they are.
Secondary Schools
Any secondary school in Nigeria or West Africa that wants to give their students an early advantage in understanding the technology reshaping global finance. Sessions are delivered at your school premises, on a schedule that works for your academic calendar, at no cost to the school or the students. We come to you.
A literate Africa will build decentralised solutions to its own problems.
Africa is uniquely positioned to benefit from blockchain technology. Not because we cannot build central systems, but because the conditions that make centralised systems fail, governance instability, corruption, infrastructure decay, are most present here. A blockchain-based solution does not care who is in power. It does not require a building to stay maintained. It is resistant to the specific failure modes that have held this continent back.
But that future requires people who understand the technology. Not just developers. Not just investors. Everyone. The compliance officer, the farmer, the civil servant, the entrepreneur. Web3 Foundations is where that education starts.

This programme grows with support.
Web3 Foundations is free because we believe it should be. But delivering it at scale requires partners who share that belief. Whether you are an NGO, a foundation, a corporate organisation, or an individual who wants to see this happen, there is a way to get involved.
